  i've just ordered something from a bizness up in canadia, and the guy is telling me delivery may be slow because the canadian post office is on "partial" strike.

  is he telling me the truth, or is he a hoser?

  When Burzynski began his work, he extracted the antineoplastons from human urine. Eventually he started synthesizing the antineoplastons.

  one criticism of Burzynski focused on this "urine extract" sensationalism. Apparently the FDA forgot that the approved female drug treatment called "premarin" is produced from PMU, which stands for "Pregnant Mare Urine, " or horse piss. Since 1942 PMU has been the source of this drug - it is not produced synthetically, as Burzynski's antineoplastons are now.

  I'll admit I didn't know anything about Mercola's reputation, but as Robdar pointed out, the subject of this thread is Dr. Burzynski.

  For the benefit of those who are reluctant to spend 100 minutes with this educational movie, here are some highlights that I feel are significant:

  1. Right now the "state of the art" treatment for cancer that is promoted by the FDA involves the use of several toxic chemotherapy agents that themselves are toxic to the patient. The possible side effects of some of these agents is CANCER. Also approved for use are various radiation treatments, which also have negative side effects.

  2. Dr. Burzynski discovered that many cancer victims are lacking in certain proteins and peptides that are abundant in healthy people, and he wondered if these proteins and peptides had a cancer supressing effect. Her found a way to isolate these compounds and eventually developed a method of synthesizing them. Burzynski patented several of the compounds and methods he uses in his treatment of cancer. As a group, these compounds are called antineoplastons.

  3. Treament of cancer victims with Burzynski's formula worked more often than the traditional treatments, and they worked without any side effects.

  4. The FDA has tried multiple times to shut Burzynski down with grand jury investigations of what the FDA claims were illegal activities regarding the treatment of Burzynski's patients. Most of these witchunts were complete failures.

  5. After trying to shut Burzynski down for many years, the FDA changed its tune and had the patent office issue patents which had previously been given to Burzynski to the FDA and the US government, then began drug trials which according to Burzynski are flawed and intented to cause the trial to fail.
